With growing environmental consciousness there are now lots of different brands available that provide a more ‘eco’ solution to cleaning products. But if you’re after a few simple recipes that you can make yourself that only use a few simple ingredients, you’ve come to the right place!
DIY Shower and Bath Cleaner
For this, all you’ll need is:
- 120ml of distilled vinegar
- 350ml of water
- A few drops of essential oil (tea tree oil can provide a little extra mild disinfection)
Add these ingredients to an empty spray bottle and shake, now you should be good to go! Spray these on the walls, doors and the floor of your shower or bath. Store unused spray in a cool, dark spot.
DIY Toilet Cleaner
For this, all you need to do is fill an empty spray bottle with distilled vinegar and keep a separate sprinkle-top bottle full of baking soda. Next time your toilet needs cleaning, spray with vinegar and allow to sit for five minutes. Pour your baking soda inside the bowl, scrub and flush. And you’re done!
DIY Limescale Remover
The same ingredients that are used in the above toilet cleaner can also be used as a limescale remover. Mix one part distilled vinegar with two parts of baking soda to make a paste and apply to any limescale areas. Leave for ten minutes and scrub with the rough part of a sponge (we recommend The Seep Company’s plastic-free sponges) to remove.
